Harley Davidson Sportster XL 1200 customized by Battistinis in Iford, Wiltshire for sale

Up for sale is my Battistinis Showman. This is a Harley Sportster XL 1200 customized by Battistinis back in their heyday. It was built in 1994 as a sister bike to their Showstar sharing a similar paint theme. Both bikes were painted by California based, world renowned motorcycle paint artist Jeff McCann who sadly died back in 2012. Around the 1990s Jeff McCann painted most of Battistinis and many Arlen Ness bikes but was also a highly rated builder in his own right. There are many expensive parts on the bike but the customization was done sympathetically so it still looks like the Sportster that it is. The spec details of the bike is shown below. This is an opportunity to acquire this fabulous bike which still looks great some 20 years after it was built. The bike rides very nicely and accelerates very well possibly helped along by the S & S Super E carb and some tuning back when it was built. In fact, it pulls so well it sometimes feels like your arms are going to be pulled out of their sockets when you open it up. I do not use the bike very often and that is the reason I want to sell it. The bike is always garaged and I never ride the bike if it even looks like it may rain. But on a nice day I like riding a bicycle, in shorts and a tee shirt.
